SharePoint Site Collection
Make Provisioning relies on a dedicated SharePoint Online site collection to store configurations, requests, licensing data, and other operational content. This site collection must be created manually, since automated creation is not supported at the moment.
Creating the Site Collection (Manual Steps)
Follow these steps before continuing with the installation:
-
Sign in to the SharePoint Admin Center at
https://<tenant>-admin.sharepoint.comusing an account with SharePoint admin rights. -
Open Active sites and check whether the target site exists:
https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/sites/<make-admin-site> -
If the site does not exist, create a new modern Team site with the following settings:
- Title: Rapid Circle Make – DEMO
- URL:
https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/sites/<make-admin-site> - Owner: Your designated administrator
- Template: Team site (STS#3 equivalent)
- Time zone: (UTC+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna
-
Add the Make service account(s) as site collection administrators.
-
Wait for the site to finish provisioning, then record the final site URL for deployment documentation.
Initializing the Make Provisioning Structures
After the installation script completes, open:
http://<Make-Provisioning-Web-Portal>/setup
This page creates the required SharePoint lists and libraries and adds the license. It finalizes the SharePoint-side setup that Make Provisioning needs to operate.
Access Requirements
Users of Make Provisioning need permission to manage configurations and the request queues. Access can be assigned through the Site Owners group or the Site Members group, depending on your governance model.
