Make 6.8 is available in the Make Community
Make 6.8 is available for installation on your tenant in the Make Community (see the files section). As always support is standing by if you need any help with the installation. This message will describe the enhancements introduced in Make 6.8. You can always revert to the changelog located on our new documentation site.
What’s new?
- Disabled DenyAddAndCustomizePages by default for new SharePoint site collections to populate property bag values
- Disabled DenyAddAndCustomizePages for parent site collections when creating sub-webs to ensure property bag values are populated
We made these changes to Make Online because Microsoft changed the way SharePoint Online works.
In short, Microsoft set the “Custom Scripts” site collection setting to Blocked (DenyAddAndCustomizePages=Enabled), which means that creating new subsites on existing site collections with Make Online may no longer work. It is also possible that updating an existing site collection with Make Online does not work, if Property Bag values are changed. Make Online uses these values to know which Make template was originally used and which version in the event of bulk updates.
To make sure that Make Online is able to perform the way is needed, we created version 6.8. This new version is now available for download in the Make Community.
If you are upgrading from version 6.x, use the Upgrade Script or perform a Manual Upgrade. See the Documentation section in the Release Package for more information. From a version older than 6.x, we recommend that you contact us so that we can advise you on the best approach.
