Make Provisioning Setup Page Documentation
The Make Provisioning setup page is used to initialize the SharePoint environment after the application has been deployed. It creates all required lists and libraries and registers the license information used by the provisioning engine.
Access the setup page at:
http://<Make-Provisioning-Web-Portal>/setup
This step must be performed after the SharePoint site collection has been created and the installation script has finished running.
What the Setup Page Does
When you open the setup page, Make Provisioning performs the following actions:
-
Verifies the SharePoint site collection
Confirms that the designated admin site for Make Provisioning is reachable and correctly configured. -
Creates required SharePoint lists and libraries
If they do not exist, the setup page creates:- Make Configurations (document library)
- Make Item Queue (list)
- License List (internal list managed automatically)
-
Registers the license
The license file or license data is added to the internal License List.
This list is managed entirely by the Make Provisioning application and must not be edited manually. -
Completes initialization
Once all components are validated or created, the environment becomes ready for provisioning operations.
What You Should See After Running the Setup Page
If everything is configured correctly, the setup page will:
- Confirm creation of each list and library
- Report success for metadata and configuration steps
- Register the license
- Display a final confirmation message that Make Provisioning is ready to use
Troubleshooting
Common issues and resolutions:
-
Missing permissions
Make sure you opened the setup page using an account with at least Site Owner permissions. -
Site not found
Confirm the SharePoint site URL matches the one used during installation. -
License not registering
Ensure the license file or key was included as part of your deployment package.
After Setup
Once the setup page completes successfully, Make Provisioning is ready for use.
You can begin adding configurations, submitting requests, and monitoring queue activity.
